It makes us remember and remind ourselves we all have a story, and how we live our lives will depend on the story others will tell about us. As an elementary teacher, I have read this story aloud hundreds of times. It is still as moving to me as it was the first time it was read aloud to me and a group of adults at a reading conference more than 25 years ago. Less Is More,  This review is from: White Wave: A Chinese Tale (Hardcover) A fairly common tale of knowing something can not be done but doing and suffering the consequences. In this instance there is much more. The hero grows, the story is shared with family and then an ending with a needed truism. The art work is just right as is the story presentation.Depending upon the recipient it can just be a good story or a stepping stone to continuing appreciation. |
